1. FELLOW of Indian Academy of Sciences, Bangalore-2009 - which is one of the most prestigious scientific academy of India. This is in recognition of the frontline work carried out in the filed of Atmospheric Sciences (http://www.ias.ac.in/).
2. Certificate of Merit Award-2008 - in the filed of Ocean Sciences and Atmospheric Sciences conferred by the Ministry of Earth Sciences (MoES), Govt. of India as a mark of recognizing the technical excellence and significant contribution in Atmospheric Sciences.
3. Maharana Udai Singh Award 2007 - by the Maharana Mewar Foundation, Rajasthan for the significant contribution of permanent value in the filed of environmental protection, hand in hand with future development.
4. Shanti Swarup Bhatnagar (SSB) Award 2006 - in the discipline of Earth, Atmosphere, Ocean & Planetary Sciences conferred by the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), Govt. of India for outstanding scientific contributions in atmospheric sciences made primarily in India in the five years preceding the year of the prize
5. WMO’s Norbert Gerbier-MUMM International Award-2005 - conferred by World Meteorological Organization (WMO), United Nations, Geneva, Switzerland for the paper “Review of Mesospheric Temperature Trends” (Beig et al., Review of Geophysics, 41, 2003) published in American Geophysical union journal “review of Geophysics”. The citation, a diploma and the Gold Medal received in person on 29 th June 2005 at Geneva , Switzerland.
6. Young Scientist Award-1999-2000 - for his lifetime achievement in the field of physical sciences category has been conferred to the nominee by the MAAS (Muslim Association for Advancement in Science), Aligarh, India (citation enclosed).
7. The 13thSilver Jubilee Award-2000 - for the best research contribution for the year 2000 has been conferred to the nominee for his paper entitled- “The Relative Importance of Solar Activity and Anthropogenic Influences on the Ion Composition, Temperature and Associated Neutrals of the Middle Atmosphere” (Beig, Journal of Geophysical Research (USA), 105, 19,841-19,856, 2000) by the Governing Council of Indian Institute of tropical Meteorology, Pune, India (citation enclosed).
8. Best Paper Award-1989 - in National Space Science Symposium–1989 given away by ADCOS, Indian Space Research Organization, Bangalore, India
9. Gold Medal-1983 - to stood First rank in the university in Master of Science (M.Sc.) Degree (Atmospheric Physics) conferred by the M.L. Sukhadia University, Udaipur, Rajasthan.
10. Clean up The World' award - 1994 - by the Clean-up the word Program and United Nations Environment Program, U.S.A.
