Establishment of Scientific Facilities /Working Group
1. Establishment of Atmospheric Chemistry –Climate Modeling Laboratory at IITM, Pune
2. Establishment of ozone Pollution Laboratory at IITM, Pune
3. Establishment of Environment Information System (ENVIS) Center at IITM, Pune
4. Establishment of Regional Research Center at National Physical Laboratory, New Delhi
5. Establishing the “System of Air Pollution Forecasting and Research” (SAFAR-2010) for Commonwealth Games at New
Delhi, India 2010.
6. Establishing the Air Pollution Network Laboratories all around Indian region under 11th 5-year plan of the ministry of
Earth Sciences, Govt. of India.
7. Established the International Mesospheric temperature Trend Assessment panel of Joint Working Group on trends under
the auspices of IAGA and ICMA of International Union of Geodesy and Geophysics (IUGG). Efforts of this panel eventually
resulted in the review paper which won the above mentioned WMO award.

Sciences) students of Pune University, Pune Since 2004 onwards.

decade.
